Dr Jang was born and raised in Sydney. His parents migrated to Australia from South Korea in the 1970s. Dr Jang attended Fort Street High school in Petersham where he developed a desire to become a doctor and surgeon.

​

Dr Jang has spent over 10 years training in Orthopaedic surgery to attain the skills to provide excellent care for his patients. He has a keen interest in upper limb surgery (shoulder, elbow, hand and wrist). This also includes acute trauma and the long term sequelae of trauma.

Dr Jang spent his junior orthopaedic registrar years developing his skills and passion for the specialty in Sydney and has worked in multiple hospitals such as Concord, Canterbury, Broken Hill, Tamworth, Liverpool and Prince of Wales hospital.

Dr Jang completed his formal AOA21 Orthopaedic Training in Perth. He thereafter became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and the Australian Orthopaedic Association.

Dr Jang enjoys teaching medical students, registrars and other colleagues. He regularly presents at state and national meetings on the latest orthopaedic advances.

​

In his spare time, he enjoys swimming at the beach, bush walks and spending time with his lovely family.
